Searching for a deeper meaning of life...

One “discovery” of the Silsilah Dialogue Movement in the past 25 years is that there are many generous and sincere Muslims and Christians of all ages willing to move together in harmony, solidarity and peace in spite of the violence, fear and prejudices that often paralyze the real spirit of dialogue and the search for peace.

Silsilah has designed a seminar for Muslim and Christian young professionals who wish to understand more the deeper meaning of love of God and love of neighbor and discover a meaningful life and vocation as single or married individuals.

Silsilah along the years has developed the concept of dialogue as love in action, silence and harmony, encouraging Muslims and Christians to experience in their own religion the spirit of dialogue and appreciate other cultures’ and religions’ commitment to “love” of God and of neighbor that guides to the common good.

In this seminar Silsilah wishes to share with young professionals age 20-35 years concrete experiences that young professionals of the same age have experienced in dialogue as an expression of love.

NEW HORIZON
For Muslim and Christian
Young Professionals

The participants will be introduced to basic aspirations of each person and to the spirit of Silsilah and the concept of dialogue as an experience of love. Young professionals will be introduced to a new “discovery” of life as a vocation and Silsilah as a dynamic movement where young professionals in search for a more meaningful life can find a variety of tracks.

Some of these are:

The Silsilah Membership for Muslims and Christians with a personalized commitment to experience.

Young Professionals for Dialogue and Peace (YPDP) is a special group of Muslim and Christian professionals who meet for a program of formation and service.

The Emmaus Dialogue Community for lay Catholic women willing to consecrate their life for the dialogue and peace mission, remaining single to embrace the bigger family of humanity in the spirit of service and love. To fulfill this mission most of them live in communities.

The Emmaus Circle for lay Catholics - men and women, single and married, who follow the spirit of Emmaus Dialogue
Community and live in their respective families.

The Muslimah for Muslim women, single and married, willing to live the spirit of dialogue and peace as Muslims and sharing the experience of the Culture of Dialogue, Path to Peace.

The Silsilah Volunteers, formed by young professionals willing to offer at least one year of voluntary service in Silsilah and are willing to be sent after a period of formation, to any place assigned to them to become witnesses of dialogue and peace in a specific mission and service.

The Harmony Chain Initiative for those who are willing to commit themselves to pray for peace, using any form of prayer and meditation. Those who are more committed can offer their voluntary service and become link persons of the Harmony
Chain Initiative in the place where they are connected (school, parishes, mosques, churches, offices, NGOs, etc.)

The sharing of each presentation will be enriched by beautiful stories and an open forum to listen to stories of commitment from the participants.
